In the old
days, a nifty trick when in a bar fight would be to take a swing at your
opponent when he was mid way through a gulp of beer from his tankard unable to
see the punch coming. Many bar keepers replaced the metal bottoms with glass so
as to give the drinkers more peace of mind while sipping on their Ale.
